St. Jean’s Credit Union Scholarships

Information regarding eligibility for a scholarships is listed below. 

1. Eligibility is limited to high school seniors who will be enrolled in an undergraduate college degree program during the 2024-2025 academic year.
2. Applicant or parent/guardian must be a member of St. Jean’s Credit Union.
3. Each applicant must complete and provide the following:
   • A current St. Jean’s Credit Union Charitable Foundation scholarship form.
   • A Typewritten essay in 250 words or less about “Reflecting back on your high school experience, what advice and words of encouragement would you give to your freshman self, now as a senior heading to college.”
   • An academic transcript of grades.

The Foundation Board of Trustees will select the winners.  Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria: essay, grades, and extracurricular & community activities.

If  an applicant or parent/guardian is not currently a member of St. Jean’s Credit Union,  now might be a great time to join. Becoming a member is easy and can be done in person or online.  Twenty-Five dollars on deposit gives you all the benefits of membership at St. Jean’s as well as give you an opportunity to apply for this scholarship.  Membership is open to anyone who lives or works in Essex, Middlesex or Suffolk Counties of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, are a retiree of the City of Revere & the Town of Winthrop Massachusetts; or are an immediate family member as defined as spouse, son, daughter, mother, father, sister or brother; or are an employee of H.P. Hood.
